Meme: A Binary Choice
Another in the great American civics lesson

It's been five long years of blogging the Trump years. We've laughed, we've cried, we've pulled some of our remaining hair out, but we've made it. It is almost done and our democracy, nation, and souls are still largely intact. Unfortunately, we're not through. There is much more to come as we stitch ourselves back together like some kind of common Frankenstein monster as we recover from the PTSD that Trump gave us and the needless deaths and suffering from #COVID19. We also have to keep #BidenHarris honest & progressive, oppose Republican obstructionism anti-democratic tendencies, and whatever other black swans await us. All of which will be addressed using good old-fashioned snarcky, sarcasticky, profaney fun and psychological insights.

Hey, I didn’t see this post when you made it, but I would like to respond now with somewhat of a rebuttal. I was going to make a full comment, but it was getting too big for this section. May I trackback to this post?

Please do. I think any discussion of how our democracy works is vitally important. I would welcome it.

Okay, thanks.
As I was writing my comment, I noticed that I was kinda getting off-topic, because it was going to drift into another problem with the American Voting system.
Perhaps I can put the post up today. It involves a topic I’ve been researching extensively and I would like more people to know about it.

There is certainly much wrong with our voting system and our democracy. I’d be glad to be part of it. I’m looking forward to the article.

I just started writing, and what I wanted to say became two posts. I will publish the first one today.

You are exactly correct. I get so tired of listening to people complain about Trump when they voted 3rd party for one reason or another. I will NEVER understand their illogical reasoning.

I thought we got that out of the way with Nader in 2000, but many of the Millennials weren’t voting then and don’t remember. This one ought to be seared into their memories, though.

I could think of more than 100 things that went wrong with the first 100 days of the Trump Presidency. Maybe I can blog this.

I would love to read that post. I would urge you to list out the screw ups, lies, and out right head scratching mistakes — losing a carrier group?!!? congratulating a veteran for “winning” a Purple Heart?!!? Lord help us all.
