What Up?!? Monday 19July 2021

Howdy y’all!

It’s been a tough week technology-wise. La Petite Fille or as she has been known just as often this week, Meine verdammte Tochter, has finally battered her old Mac Book Air into submission. We’re now sharing the computer facsimile Chromebook, and I’m doing most of my posts on my Chinese knockoff Kindle Fire rendering the whole endeavor one long exercise in endless unique frustrations. Luckily, I can cuss in four languages since Quebecois obscenities are unique to it Incidentally, it is my favorite set of cuss words

Just for fun, let’s share the languages you cuss in! Mine are English, German, French, Quebecois, and Spanish. Merde! That’s five. I can cuss in five languages, but I can’t count in any. The lesson, as always is, I’m an idiot.

This Week’s Reading

From the News

From the Blogosphere

In no particular order, these are the blogs and posts I’ve read this week:

The Mad Pingbackers

Let’s remember the kind souls who use their platforms both large and small to link to the blogs of others because they don’t have to yet they do.

  • For nearly twenty years, Crooks and Liars has run Mike’s Blog Round Up, providing links to interesting liberal blogs that who ever is curating that week finds or likes or whatever. Ye Olde Blogge even shows up occasionally on it.
  • Over on Fair and Unbalanced, Burr Deming posts a long list of interesting things he’s read from around the Interwebs with a healthy dose of snarky commentary.
  • Refrain over at Mock, Paper, Scisors takes a turn helming MBRU now and again, and he often links to Us Olde Blogge.
  • Infidel 753 runs a list of interesting blog posts he’s found every Sunday. He’ll kindly include a link to Ye Olde Blogge if we’ve happened to write something interesting that week..
  • We always end this list with a link to read friend o’ the blog’s, Bob, who provides links to lots o’ interesting blog posts and insightful inspiring comments here on Ye Olde Blogge over at Of Cabbages and Kings

  1. Hey Jack!

Kind thanks for the pingback links. These are all great links to other blogs. Wonderful work Sir! πŸ™‚

Hope things are healthy and safe in your part of the world. As you mentioned here, COVID-19 is back on the rise here in Texas and most of the South & Midwest United States—mostly Red states. No surprise there, right? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Nevertheless, thanks again and you and yours remain well and safe! πŸ™‚

    • Howdy Professor!

It’s shocking, but not surprising, right? that the #COVID19 vaccination rates are following the 2020 election that it is the most accurate prediction of the vote in some states down to the county. The coefficient is .85!! How bad will it have to get before people give up their conspiracy theories?

We’re good in Cambodia since both the wife and I are vaccinated; I’m working on getting the verdammte , vaccinated since they just opened vaccinations up for children down to 12.

Stay well. Don’t let the trolls get you down.

      Huzzah!
      Jack
