Take the challenge! Take the Harvard Implicit Bias test and bare your biases to the world! It will be fun! It will be illuminating! You will find out something — perhaps even surprising — about yourself!
It's been five long years of blogging the Trump years. We've laughed, we've cried, we've pulled some of our remaining hair out, but we've made it. It is almost done and our democracy, nation, and souls are still largely intact. Unfortunately, we're not through. There is much more to come as we stitch ourselves back together like some kind of common Frankenstein monster as we recover from the PTSD that Trump gave us and the needless deaths and suffering from #COVID19. We also have to #BidenHarris honest, oppose Republican obstructionism anti-democratic tendencies, and whatever other black swans await us. All of which will be addressed using good old-fashioned snarcky, sarcasticky, profaney fun and psychological insights.
We all want to intervene and stop the abuse of another in public. How many times have you seen a person being the recipient of verbal abuse? Here’s a great infographic to guide your response!
Why can’t Clinton connect with people in a sincere, warm, human, semi-normal way? What is wrong with her? Why does it seem like she’s lying, dishonest, and insincere? Why is she seemingly flushing the election away? Well, it may have to do with theory of mind! Read about it here on my blog post.
Trump is a racist! Clinton is a bigot! Whatever Kaepernick is doing! Race and racism is seemingly every where right now, but where does it come from? What drives whites to be racist?

Trump is encouraging people to assassinate Clinton. He might have been joking. He might not realize what he’s done. Read about how his narcissism causes this kind of dangerous rhetoric and about why it is so hard to pin him down in my quick thoughts post.

How will Trump’s missteps affect us on election day? It all depends on memory. Find out why we are less likely to remember many of the events of the election and why they may not affect us on election day.
My thoughts on Solution Sundays an idea that two Republican senators are promoting to overcome the racial divide in the country. Spoiler: the idea needs to be tweaked. Find out how.
This week Apple announced some changes to its line up of emojis available through its operating system. In addition to the popular change of the pistol to the water gun, it is making emojis of women and people of color doing a variety of things and single parents […]
That Trump is a narcissistic personality disorder is a foregone conclusion. His thin-skinned “counter-puncher” routine is a direct result of his narcissism, which should be fairly clear to us. What may not be clear is his inability to reach out to voters outside of the committed few. He […]
There’s misinformation and then there is damn misinformation. I am guilty of spreading misinformation, and I’ve written about it here. Challenge accepted and challenge met.

Hillary Clinton is a known lying liar with poor judgment. But why do we know that? Learn about the manipulations that we are all vulnerable to and what to do about them.
Without the snark, the sarcasm, or profanity of my usual posts, I give you First Lady, Michelle Obama’s and Senator Bernie Sander’s speeches. Both give voice to the hope, ideals, and aspirations that we all feel.
I’ve written a lot about Trump. I’ve given links to three of the best about Trump’s narcissism, Trump’s rhetoric, and Trump’s toxicity. Plus some bonus material.
Many have wondered why people vote against their best interests by electing candidates that support policies and laws that will hurt them. Why do so many people believe what Donald Trump says when it is so clear that he is lying? Why do we have an election in which so many voters are angry and disaffected and in a “revolutionary” mood?
Police shootings, lone wolf terrorists, mass shootings: can psychology explain why people commit these crimes? Can psychology suggest possible solutions?
The Worst Challenge, met! I detail my reaction to the massacres in Orlando and Dallas. I articulate my fears of how we’ll respond. It has been cathartic.
