This particular post follows my series on sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sexual aggression. It is an interesting experiment in interacting with strangers and violating the social norms. Does it say anything about sexual assault, though? I don’t know. I’d appreciate hearing the thoughts of others.

A woman puts her sexuality on full display, for the entire world to see and touch . Swiss performance artist Milo Moiré hailing from Europe has done just that to fight against sexual violence and rape.

During the performance, Moiré wore a mirrored box over her chest and her vagina, and hit the streets. The Swiss then invited complete strangers both men and women to touch her breasts and lady bits through the openings in the boxes.
.In an interview with ATTN:, Moiré opens about who touched her. “During my Performance in Dusseldorf, Germany, with the ‘Mirror Box’ on my breasts, around 40 percent of the people who touched my breasts were women,” she revealed. “Whereas in Amsterdam and London, two female participants overall put their hands in the genital ‘Mirror Box.’”

The Psy of Life 
And it is frankly unbelievable to me that she was ever a victim of a sexual assault. I dealt with victims for over 15 years and not a single solitary one of them felt comfortable about sex afterwards. I wonder if perhaps she is a borderline that simply wants an excuse for acting out? not enough info on her to figure it out.

Yeah, I mean she’s a performance artist so that is its own special breed, ain’t it? I have a hard time getting past the expressions on the few people’s faces who are feeling her up in the photographs… and the dude sneaking up behind her to take a pic of her breasts under the box.
I find the whole thing just too distasteful for words and having very little to do with sexual assault or sexual harassment or sexual aggression as I’ve come to understand it.

I know, right? I mean… what? I can’t connect it to what I know about sexual aggression. I mean she’s too much of a willing participant and equal in the equation negating the aggression part of it.
