Gabby Orr and Meridith McGraw over at Politico wrote this article complaining that Trump is adrift in his post-office life, and they are shocked, shocked I tell you, that he wasn’t the political “Godzilla” that everyone thought he was going to be. Really?

I thought I was done writing this repetitive stupid tripe about the Ol’ Pussy Grabber’s unproductive malignant narcissism when he left office, but no, the former guy is the gift that keeps kicking you in the balls and snickering as you writhe in pain. I don’t know why I’d expect reporters to understand how Trump’s mental disorders affect his behavior in the post-Trump era if they didn’t in the during-Trump era. Yet, here are these two reporters who scratching each other’s asses and wondering why their fingers smell.

It should come as a surprise to no one that the Ol’ Pussy Grabber is adrift in the unstructured world of being out-of-office. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he has done no work and won’t do anything that requires him to do any actual work. And, it is unsurprising that he changes his mind, commitments, actions on an hourly basis. This is the guy who couldn’t pass the marshmallow test even though he’s a grown ass man and hates marshmallows, so how do you expect him to do anything other than be a drift?

I could see him being characterized as a Godzilla if you mean it in the sense of an angry larger than life caricature of a beast rampaging through the GQP destroying all in its path and leaving the detritus of wrecked lives in his wake. But, this article seems to mean it as a towering powerful beast instilling fear in all it menaces.

Let’s go through some of the choicer bits of the article and wonder aloud how so many in the press just can’t seem to get a grip on the implications of Trump’s mental health disorders.

[H]e was supposed to build a massive political apparatus to keep his MAGA movement afloat.

When has the Ol’ Pussy Grabber ever built anything, muchless anything that is massive? He inherited a fortune and frittered it away building failing buildings and casinos and turned to the eponymous trade and laundering Russian mob money to keep himself afloat. Even in his reality TV show, he was little more than window dressing.

At best, he could pay other people to build things for him like he did with Trump Tower and the 6 January Insurrection. He didn’t organize no insurrection; other people did. Hell, it probably wasn’t even at his behest. His desire to remain in office and the long-dreamed of white supremacist uprising happened to coincide. They coordinated much like his 2016 campaign did with the Russian disinformation campaign: realizing they shared some goals and paying attention to each others social media feeds.

Republicans, and even some allies, say he is disorganized, torn between playing the role of antagonist and party leader.

[He} shifts from wanting to support the GOP with his resources and grassroots appeal one day to refocusing on his own brand and thirst for vengeance the next

And, what is the common denominator for each of these incongruent behaviors and motivations? Mood. It depends totally on his mood that day. If he’s been ruminating and brooding on how everyone let him down and turned against him, he wants vengeance. If he’s been fapping to his own political brilliance, he wants to be the conquering hero marching at the head of a vast army.

The problem is that he can’t manage his mood well enough to stay focused on either one of them long enough to actually achieve anything.

[H]is tendency to abruptly change directions or seize on a new idea after speaking with a friend or outside adviser — a habit that often frustrated aides during his time in office — has carried into his post-presidency life.

He was abruptly changing directions and seizing on new ideas depending on who had been talking to him when BEFORE he was in office. Why would you expect it to change while he was in office or after? He’s a narcissist with executive dysfunction. He doesn’t change. He doesn’t learn. He doesn’t think he has to. He thinks everything he thinks is the pinnacle of human achievement, literally. Yet, he’s easily swayed by the ideas and opinions of others. It’s how Putin, Erdogan, and MBS all manipulated him. It’ll be how whoever manipulates him down in sad Merd-o-Lardo manipulates him.

“There is no apparatus, no structure and part of that is due to a lack of political understanding on Trump’s behalf,” said a person close to the former president, noting that Trump has struggled to learn the ropes of post-presidential politicking.

The Ol’ Pussy Grabber couldn’t be bothered to learn the ropes politicking while in office, how could you expect him to learn them when he was out of office? He’s a narcissist; he doesn’t learn. The only difference between him out of office and him in office is that he no longer has the apparatus of the Executive Branch around him and people who know how to use it to do his bidding.

He’s surrounded himself with sycophants who are all hoping to grift off of him by manipulating him. They have conflicting agendas and goals and form temporary transient alliances to achieve them. Why would you expect anything other than chaos?

Trump has gone from threatening party bodies for using his name and likeness in their fundraising efforts to offering up his Mar-a-Lago estate as a host site for part of the Republican National Committee’s spring donor retreat

In many ways this is the most baffling of all the “observations” offered up by the article. There is no conflict between Trump trying to limit the RNC from fundraising off of his image and reputation and using his resort as the site for an RNC event. They’re both rooted in grifting. He knows that if his stooges donate money to the RNC, there will be less for them to donate to him. He wants all the money. He’s happy to rent his place to the RNC at inflated costs. He wants all the money.

The only mildly surprising thing is that the RNC didn’t heed his cease-and-desist letter when he ordered them to stop fundraising off of him — that’s his schtick. They know that the rank and vile grassroots donors are too low-information to realize when they’re donating directly to Trump’s pocket or to theirs if they see Trump’s picture and name on the solicitation material. The Ol’ Pussy Grabber is just pissed that they didn’t squeal when he grabbed them by the pussy.

Trump has continued to dangle a 2024 run over the party, and the will-he-won’t-he guessing game.

[According to} a former Trump advisor, “…if he doesn’t (run in 2024), you’ll see people lose interest in the guy in the next hour. As long as he plays the theatrics he’s going to run again, he still garners attention and creates headlines.”

He’s unpredictable, remember? That’s his chief negotiating strategy, unpredictability. He knows that if he commits one way or the other it hurts him, but as long as he can string everyone along, he achieves his two big goals: (a) grifting money off of the stooges and (b) staying in the limelight with people showering him with flattery and attention wanting to get something from him.

The political action committee was made for Trump. You can solicit as much in donations as you want. You can spend the money however you want. It’s not a charity, so you don’t have to hide how you’re spending the money on yourself. It’s not a campaign, so the money can be spent on things other than campaigns. It’s the perfect vehicle for a grifter like Trump.

So, here we are over fifty days into the #BidenHarris administration, and we’re still finding it necessary to blog about the Ol’ Pussy Grabber being an unproductive malignant narcissist. I suppose when he’s rendered the GQP a smoldering asheap that whatever disfigured scarred phoenix comes struggling out of there will be reporters shocked, shocked I tell you, that Trump would cause such destruction on such a scale! But, that day is coming.
