Wish Jimmy Carter a happy 100th birthday
You can use the QR code in the image to the left or follow this link, Celebrating 100.
Jimmy Carter turns 100 on 1 October, but he is in poor health. His family reports that he is no longer waking up every day, but that he is hanging on to see one more milestone in American history, voting for the first Black-Asian American female president.
Early voting starts on Monday 7 October. Sending in your photo is one small way you can encourage him to achieve this final goal.
Show our accomplished and esteemed former President a little love and send in your photo. And start using #JimmyCarter100 in all of your social media.
And, as always, let’s discuss it in the comments.

She was such a role model in her own right. They’ll be missed, but they’ll continue to inspire.

I missed the party, and the cake, but my thoughts are now roaming backward to belatedly wish this elegant gentleman a Happy Birthday. He has always been one of my favorite Presidents, and favorite humans; too much the gent to call someone out, or to show embarrassment at someone else’s rudeness.
And at a time when Presidents traditionally retired to their homes to write their memoirs, Mr. Carter was busy building homes for people who needed them. A class act, all the way.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Carter.

Howdy Judy!
You haven’t missed Carter’s birthday! His birthday is 1 October! There is still time to send in your happy birthday wishes to our greatest ex-president.
One of the best things Carter has done is set an example for all presidents to follow. He inspired the Clintons and Obamas to create their foundations and all of the GREAT work they do.
And bless you for writing and reaching out to wish Jimmy Carter a happy 100th on Ye Olde Blogge. You are now on our Festivus Card list (let me know if you want to be removed).
Huzzah!

He’s not gone yet, and he will benefit from all of the heartfelt well wishes coming his way.
I will actually grieve his passing. He’s been such a giant in American history and such an important personal hero of mine.

Jimmy is just simply one very good human, and in his example as a professed Christian, shows us how far from that teaching so many others have fallen away.

The Clintons have come the closest having gotten HIV under control in Africa. That was kind of a major achievement.

The Clinton Foundation has done some remarkable work. Both Obama and the Clintons looked at Carter’s example to model their post-presidencies.

Wasn’t there some sort of scandal about money with the Clinton Foundation or one of his other money making organizations? chuq

There was a Republican smear campaign that went something like Hillary Clinton sold access for a donation to the Clinton Foundation where they spent the money bringing water, education, and economic support for women to developing nations. That’s the kind of corruption I’d like to see more of if we have to have corruption.
