When the slogans are assembled line-by-line they make a thing of beauty. I highly recommend visiting and reading the resulting poem. That something so beautiful and wonderful can come from something so ugly and tragic gives us all a reason to hope for a better future.
The poem is truly a celebration of the goodness that is in all of us and in our communities. It is confirmation that there are more of us than there are of them, that diversity, equity, and inclusion beats racism, inequality, and bigotry, that love beats hate.

Reblogged. Another couple of RFK’s ripples. Thank you both, Calico Jack and Sunra Rainz!
“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” https://www.jfklibrary.org/learn/about-jfk/the-kennedy-family/robert-f-kennedy/robert-f-kennedy-speeches/day-of-affirmation-address-university-of-capetown-capetown-south-africa-june-6-1966

I thought you would like it.
The racists rioting in England were worrisome. It made it seem as if racism was much more widely spread and accepted than it actually is. The size of the counter demonstrations has completely overwhelmed and swamped them. I had wanted to reference it in the blog, but couldn’t fit it in, at least, until I saw this post in the reader.
