Just looking at the destruction from Hurricane Helene:
- 42 Dead
- Millions without power
- Billions in property damage
I don’t know why I’m reacting so strongly to the damage that this storm has done. When I look at it more objectively, is it really any worse than any of the other large storms we’ve experienced since Katrina?
Climate change is making these storms worse and more frequent. We are going to have to build infrastructure to protect our vulnerable — i.e. monied, po’ folk can suck it, amirite? — coastal communities.
Given Trump’s track record of incompetence:
- #COVID19:
- Over a million unnecessary death
- Shortening the average life expectancy of Americans
- Costing the economy billions of dollars
- Hurricanes Maria and Harvey responses consisted of throwing paper towels and leaving people traumatized across the country.
- Infrastructure
WeakWeek - Ballooning the Debt by giving unnecessary and unwanted tax breaks to billionaires.
- Tariff Tax costing each American family on average $800.00 per year
- Lost Manufacturing Jobs
- Weakening NATO and encouraging aggression from Putin and Xi through his abysmal “negotiating” skills
- Worsening Climate Change by Drill! Drill! Drill!
We have to ask ourselves, can we afford four more years of Trump’s incompetence?

And we must not forget the plan in Project 2025 to break up NOAA – because it’s scientists keep saying the words, “climate change”.
Climate wise, if Trump is elected, all bets are off. Four years of him and the architects of that plan, not to mention the damage to the economy, even greater ballooning of the debt, etc. and the chance of reaching Carbon Neutrality or Carbon Zero by 2050 (which may be too late already) would be gone unless it was achieved by truly crashing the US economy and numerous others.

Howdy Bob!
That is the truth, sibling. None of us can afford another Trump term, and we really can’t afford for Jamoke Dumbass to ascend to the throne. Both Pence and Vance are competent people with intact executive functioning and a clear idea of what they want. We dodged a bullet when god didn’t fulfill her promise to Mother Pence and make him president. And, if we can get out of this without Vance being a heartbeat away, we’ll be lucky.

It is not just The United States that can’t afford four more (possibly 8 more) years of Trump, the World at large cannot afford any more of him either. But deviltry is hard to subdue and so there is a real possibility that we will all live in the darkness of another round of authoritarian ambitions.

Howdy John!
The climate is changing much more rapidly than anyone predicted. Once an environmental system begins to collapse, it is going to have a cascading effect. If we continue under what we’re doing right now, we might, just might, be able to avoid a complete catastrophe. If Trump gets elected, the catastrophe will be guaranteed. It will be bloody and destructive with billions of people dying as a result.
That’s what I mean by saying Hurricane Helene shows that we can’t afford to sit and twiddle our thumbs while Trump promises the moon and delivers billions to the fossil fuels industry.

Unfortunately, these, FACTS still, can’t reach the minds of, valiant supporters of Trump, as, these, followers, stopped thinking for themselves, stopped, examining the FACTS which are, STARING them, in the, FACE, and, until WAR, adverse weather conditions are, right on these, Trump supporters’, frontdoors, ready to, break in and enter, they just, won’t, WAKE up! As members of the, Republican CULT, ALL of these, followers had, RELINQUISHED their, ability to, analyze the facts of the, situations, to, choise correctly.

The good news is that none of that is necessary. All that is needed for the cult of Trump to end is for Trump to end. We end Trump by beating him in the election. We should win this election, probably by a larger electoral college margin than in 2020 and definitely by a larger popular vote margin.
