There are several truisms that we can rely on when dealing with our very own Model of a Modern Major Jenius. It may be his only redeeming quality. Most of them stem from his malignant narcissism, so let’s quickly review the qualities of a narcissist as outlined in past posts, using the DSM-5 criteria:

• Having an ego so bloated that you think you are more important than you are
• Deluding yourself that you are exceptional even if you haven’t ever done anything exceptional except being an exceptional ASShole
• Lying through your teeth about everything you’ve done and your talents and your skills
• Fapping to fantasies of your own success, power, brilliance, beauty
• Needing to have your ass-kissed constantly
• Needing special favors and exceptions to be made for you because you are some kind of a special fragile snowflake
• Expecting others to ask how high after you’ve screamed jump at them and like it!
• Taking advantage of others to get what you want
• Being an insensitive asshole unable to acknowledge the emotions or needs of others or even that others exist outside of the purpose of meeting your needs
• Seeing everyone around you as being green with envy for you and your bullshit
• Being a stuck-up shit like some little queen bee high school mean girl

2024 Further Swolled His Bloated Ego

As El Gran Narcisista said himself at the National Prayer Breakfast, if he hadn’t won in 2024, it would’ve been a tremendous blow to his ego and he would’ve lived with that pain for the rest of his life. Describing the effect of “winning” as “Now I really have a big ego. Beating these lunatics was incredible.” The closest you’ll get to an admission that he cheated, somehow, to win.

He’s seeing his re-election as confirmation that he was right all along. Combine the freeing effect of the election with having surrounded himself with sycophants and the unbridled support of SCOTUS, and he has no boundaries on his ambitions. It is why he has been so insufferable and smug, he’s abandoning MAGA for the Epstein class.

Contemptuous Disregard for the Law, Congress, and Courts

You’ve probably noted how felonious the Felon Reich is. There is no court order that they won’t disregard, no Congressional subpoena they won’t disobey, no law, even murder and treason, they won’t break. You’ve noticed that right?

Narcissists believe that exceptions to every rule, norm, and expectation will be made for them. They are so special, so jenius, so well endowed that we will all understand that they can be constrained by anything that is in place for us mere mortals.

And, here is the Great Civics Lesson of Trump 2.0: laws and norms only work if we all agree to abide by them. We can all beak any law or norm we please, we just have to be willing to endure the consequences. Without consequences being placed upon Trump and his hench people, they will continue breaking every law on the books and doing exactly how they please. They will laugh off any accusations of hypocrisy — they’ll wear it as a badge of honor — sneer at all criminal charges, and continue blundering ahead trampling our rights and stealing our wealth.

Inherently Self-Destructive

Il Dunce has always been someone who when given enough rope, he’ll shoot everyone around him in the gonads. Narcissism is inherently destructive. In order to maintain the delusion of perfection, the narcissist must destroy that which challenges it, which, as it turns out, is existence itself. It is the quintessential unsustainable system.

Because Ditch believes to his hollowed out core that he is the best and brightest that humanity has ever produced, he believes that his every thought and assumption is the equivalent of Noah getting the stone tablets from the burning bush. Trump literally believes that his grift is the perpetual motion machine. He thinks the conditions that he’s operating under will continue forever that there will always be one more grift out there waiting for his jenius to scheme a way of grabbing. He doesn’t realize that now he’s got the most influence over the rest of the planet, its economy, climate, and the well-being of its peoples.

His vision of the future is that it will always be much as it is today. The dollar will be the reserve currency — he’s wrecking that. The US will remain the largest and strongest economy — we’re fast being sidelined because of our unreliability. Our military will be the strongest and best — we’ve set off a new arms race, both nuclear and conventional. The world’s climate will be able to support eight billion people so the wealth they generate can be grifted by him.

He has no vision other than to feed his own appetites of greed and lust — which in spite of Dr. Oz’s jactations about his levels of testosterone has probably diminished significantly since his last go round the Oval, which means he’s still probably propositioning Bondi, Noem, and Leavitt and grabbing them by the pussies, but not actually taking it any farther than that. It is probably a sad ugly truth that he’s abused every woman whose been within arm’s reach, which is why Melania stays pretty much at arm’s length.

My advice to every reader is to begin girding yourself and your family for the Greater Depression. He’s driving us all straight over the cliff.

Unless and until our Very Own Bull in Our Democratic China Shop is stopped by some external force, e.g. impeachment and removal — he’s already telegraphed that he knows he can’t get around that — he won’t stop until everything is an utter smoking ruin. Eventually his fellow oligarchs, Congressional Republicans, and judicial cronies will realize that he needs to be stopped, but by then it will be far too late. It is clear that it will be up to us, We the People, to put an end to our national madness and his global rampage. The question is, are we up to the task.
