I woke up this morning to news that THREE US fighter aircraft were shot down over Kuwait by friendly fire. FRIENDLY FIRE! Thankfully, the three pilots all ejected and parachuted to relative safety, meaning they are recovering from their injuries in hospital. Ejecting from a moving aircraft is not a gentle process, I imagine.
El Gran Narcisista doesn’t like heros who were captured, I wonder how he feels about heros who were shot down by their own military? Does he like them? Or is there something shameful about shooting down your own forces in a massive — THREE??!? FFS — friendly fire incident?
There are only two things that Le Touche de Merde and his fiendish band of minions do well:
- LIE, and
- Fuck shit up
It’s like the Shakiest Gun In The West co-starred with Abbot and Costello in the daytime soap drama, “The Dumb and The Stupidest.” We’ve got a real blind leading the stupid operation going here. They think they’re being so clever and effective in covering up their corruption and gutting of our democracy. Or at leas I hope they do because if aren’t, they really are just daring us to stop them, and we’re failing miserably. But that sobering thought is for another Comment on This post.
The Chronically Lying Regime Obliterates Trust with LIES!
Given that everyone in the regime is a chronic liar, you can’t believe anything they tell you. That includes everything from the reasons we’ve gone to war with Iran — the US military is now a mercenary force for hire at the disposal of the highest bidder that in this case is the Arab Gulf States and Bibi — who has been killed in the war, or the reasons that we lost three aircraft and even if we actually lost the aircraft at all. I don’t know why reporters aren’t demanding proof of every claim that the administration makes. “We regret to announce that three of our aircraft were shot down over Kuwait.” “Oh yeah, what proof do you have that (a) there were three aircraft involved, (b) it was Kuwait, (c) they were lost, (d) that it was due to being fired upon, and (e) it was friendly fire.” At this point, there is no reason to take any of them at their word.
Pistol Pete tells us that this is not a forever war. What does that mean? We have a plan for ending hostilities? We have some kind of withdrawal strategy? There are benchmarks for when we’ve achieved defined objectives after which we can stop the fighting? What in our brief history with these bozos tells you that they are capable of anything even remotely close to planning and have the discipline to follow any sort of plan. This ends when Bibi and BoneSaw are satisfied with the amount of damage inflicted on Iran. Which in Bibi’s case is seems to be when genocide of its 90 million people has been achieved.
Secretary Dry Drunk also informed us that while this wasn’t necessarily a regime change war, it did change the regime in what amounts to some clever word play? Maybe? Given their penchant for lying and impulsively doing shit and making up a reason later, did he just tell us that the whole point all along was that it was a regime change?
The Destructive Power of Sheer Incompetence
In a gratuitous display of not understanding how the world works, El Gordo Naranja vowed that we would avenge the soldiers killed in the conflict. What? If every side avenged every death incurred during a conflict, there would be no end to the war.
So, comment on my conclusions here:
- Trump is preaching to the choir with all of his BS about the war with Iran. We’re going to avenge our war dead. It wasn’t a regime change operation. They didn’t want to negotiate. All of that is just a lie he tells to mollify MAGA.
- How much money did Trump personally make to order this operation against Iran?
- And, the Trump regime’s gross incompetence endangers US forces more than Iran does. We’ll end up killing more of our own soldiers and destroying more of our own equipment than Iran will. And, we’ll leave ourselves more vulnerable to terrorist strikes because The Gross Idiot dismantled our counter terrorism agencies so they could all work to deport five year olds, nannies, and garnders.
- We are so fucked
Let me know what you think of those four points, and Trump’s prosecution of the war so far in the comments.

If, as some reports say, it was the Kuwaiti air defense that hit the 3 fighters, one could wonder if it was really an accident. After all, they need this thing to stop so they can ship their oil out.
I’ve been thinking that if I were running Iran (or, several other places) I would have been thinking for a long time about how, with my available technology, I could take out (i.e., sink) an American aircraft carrier. That would be the one asset most likely to be leading a serious attack or invasion against me. It is no easy task when that thing is surrounded by ships to protect it from any known threat, but somebody in Iran has to ave been pondering the problem for the better part of 50 years. Therefore, I conclude that either they have not found a way, or that in some way (weather, combat situation, timing in relation to pending efforts in the American Congress to rein in Trump) the situation is not propitious for success of the operation.

Kuwait could’ve been acting in self defense, or it could be that the US as the leader of the “coalition” is just a crappy leader that doesn’t know what it’s doing. Our militaries have planned for this attack for the past forty years. As We’ve added allies in the region, We’ve held joint exercises to help prevent this type of event. It is a failure of the system. Those Kuwaiti units should’ve been told that those planes would be there. They should’ve recognized them as US planes. It is just one more example of Trump as a fuck up and not being held responsible. Unlike Carter in his attempt to rescue the hostages being held at the US embassy in Tehran in 1979.
Democrats should run on the idea that Trump needs to be reined in and a Republican Congress is not doing it. It isn’t the only thing that they should run on, but it should be clear that a Democratic Congress will act as a counter-weight to Trump’s unseemly impulsive moves like ICE, national guard deployments, and these foreign adventures.

Apparently, Pete H. doesn’t like having our planes running their ID signals. The bill to prevent another collision between a helicopter and airliner in DC got defeated partly because of that issue. Those planes may have been in stealth mode. The pilots may have known to start ejection procedure when they saw the AA missiles launch.
Trump’s management (using the term lightly) is only going to get more impulsive and erratic from here on. By November the Democrats should have plenty of evidence if they use it well.
Trump’s oil industry buddies are going to make out like bandits with the traffic out of the Persian Gulf stopped. Folks worried about affordability are very sensitive to two prices, groceries and gas. Also, a lot of importers have now absorbed as much of the tariff costs as they can.

Not having your transponders on over Kuwait is just madness. The threat from anything that could use them is negotiable. Iran’s air force is done. Any surviving planes and pilots daren’t raise their heads. They cannot cope with the modern US air force and anti-aircraft weapons. The only threat to them is a shoulder-held anti-aircraft missile in an operation similar to that which brought down a stealth fighter bomber in the Balkans when a spotter outside an Italian NATO airbase alerted a squad of anti-aircraft forces on the shore of the Adriatic in their typical flight path that they were coming and they shot blindly at the time they should’ve arrived. They got lucky and brought down one aircraft. You know the bases in the Middle East have swept the surrounding countryside to prevent anything similar. The Gulf State’s are too small and the governments have such total control that they can easily keep the people from the perimeters of these bases. Turning off the transponders over friendly countries is just idiocy. Not coordinating fight paths and information with anti-aircraft units is incompetent. All they had to do was add them to the Signal chat.
There are two stories right now that could easily bring Trump down either in the midterms or before. One is the missing documents accusing him of sexually assaulting a thirteen year old. The other is the halted DEA investigation of Epstein’s drug and human trafficking and money laundering activities. We hear a lot about the first one but very little about the later.

One place the DEA investigation, especially the human trafficking part will lead is not to the survivors, but to the non-survivors, the expendable (probably POC) girls who just got used up and thrown away. That’s the real horror show. There is a world market for the worst kinds of porn.

Thank you, my friend. Your praise is very appreciated.
Yeah. It’s remarkable how cyclical islamic terrorism is. Under Obama there were terrorist attacks every few months it seemed. A couple times a year someone would shoot up some public place or set off a bomb. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and putting military forces in Saudi Arabia drove a lot of it. Defeating ISIS helped a lot, too. But there seems like there was a contagion in some of it. It feeds off of itself. Killing the Ayatollah and destroying the heart of Shia Islam is going to likely drive Shia terrorism like the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars drove Sunni terrorism.
I appreciate your comments.

When Trump announced the name change for the Department of Defense, I thought it was some weird vanity project of Hegseth’s or Trump’s. Now, I think it was part of their preparation for taking the country into endless distracting exhausting wars so they could earn money selling our military as mercenaries to the Gulf States. Obviously, Ukraine and NATO just weren’t paying enough for their services.
As the years and the oppression deepened in Iran, nostalgia for the Shah’s Iran increased. Everything in the past looks rosier than it was. While the Shah was a brutal dictator, he also saw the importance of keeping a happy prosperous middle class. Every authoritarian serves at the pleasure of someone, and part of keeping those someone’s happy with your rule is not having civil unrest. One of the reasons that Xi is purging generals right now. Before Trump saved him by giving them a huge external existential threat, Xi was in political trouble. Their economy was moribund, the middle class deeply unhappy — they still are, by the way, opportunity in China, right now, is extremely limited — and the generals and Politburo were not happy. Now that he’s past the crisis and solidified his grip somewhat, he is taking out those who dared oppose him.
Anywho, people in Iran are so desperate for change, they see Shah, Jr. as being the least offensive most viable alternative. One of the big problems with doing this regime change thing now in Iran is that there is no alternative waiting in the wings to take the current regimes place. The ayatollahs are so firmly entrenched in ruling Iran and in their institutions and security apparatus that it is going to be nearly impossible to get rid of them. Them and their allies are the only ones who know how to run the country.
Just another shit show brought to you by Trump.
