Poll: 46% of Americans believe major news outlets make up stories about Trump – Vox

United Fucking States of Fucking Stupid

If this poll is any where near accurate, then we are so fucked. I couldn’t believe the electorate of Republican primaries could elect the Ol’ Pussy Grabber. It wasn’t a strong field, but he is so obviously incompetent that I couldn’t believe he could win. He did, but it was only the Republican portion of the electorate.

Then I couldn’t believe that the American populace would be so butt-fucking numb-headed idiotic as to actually vote for him. I couldn’t believe that any of the substantial number of fence dwelling both-sides-do-it independent undecided voters could decide to vote for a confessed rapist like the Ol’ Pussy Grabber, but they enough of them did to elect him.

Russian manipulation and voter suppression aside, it should never have come to him running in the election and it should never have come so close. It shows just how fucking stupid we are that it did.

This poll just adds to the depth of despair that our collective stupid asses are sinking to. If an adult cannot discern that the Ol’ Pussy Grabber is lying then we may as well hand the country over to the North Koreans. We are officially the United Fucking States of Fucking Stupid and we get every god awful misery that is inflicted on us.

Poll: 46% of Americans believe major news outlets make up stories about Trump

Nearly half of voters, including the vast majority of Republicans, believe the president when he claims that the media is making up stories about him.

Attacks on the “fake news” media have become a staple of the Trump administration — and nearly half of voters, including the vast majority of Republicans, believe the president when he claims that the media is making up stories about him.

Forty-six percent of voters believe that major news organizations fabricate stories about Trump, while 37 percent do not and 17 percent are undecided, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll.

Among party lines, 76 percent of Republican voters believe the media puts out untrue stories about the president, while only 11 percent think the media is honest in its coverage of Trump. Twenty percent of Democrats believe the media creates fake stories about Trump, while 65 percent do not.

  1. every thing you wrote is on then money…. but some how there is a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that the fat lady hasn’t sung yet so there is still a chance that his unbounded hubris will over run his rat’s ass, and the result will be so obvious that nothing will be able to keep him in office… I know , I know! from my key pad to God’s ear….I still have hope that he will every so soon make a fatal faux pas and his career will be over…. yeah one of my fave dreams

The Ol’ Pussy Grabber is definitely a give-him-enough-rope kinda guy. He will self destruct because that’s all he can do. But, the question is how much damage will he do to the rest of us.

But the troubling trend is in the 46% who believe that the media makes up stories about him. I can’t get over that. We aren’t safe from the stupidity of the uncommitted undecided voter.

Timing is everything. I saw a reference to this poll this morning, and I thought, I should update that post since the poll is not reliable. A week or so ago, I had read more about it and the company producing it, although well known, regularly has results that slant right compared to the national average on issues. So, it isn’t as bad as it seems. We can unskew that poll.

I must admit, old friend, that this has been a pretty low week. To think that 46% of Americans actually believe that what they read in the news about the Ol’ Pussy Grabber is made up nearly causes me to quit. How can this fucking be? Who could think that anyone would make up these stories if they were making shit up about the Ol’ Pussy Grabber? No one would think that anyone would believe this shit. No one would try to peddle it. But, here we are.

To paraphrase Theoden in “Lord of the Rings,” “How shall any country withstand such numbers and such reckless willful ignorance?” It isn’t the base of the Ol’ Pussy Grabber, it is the feckless independent uncommitted voter. Seriously, we are giving it way. We deserve all the pain and suffering that the Repubes inflict on us.

        • Turn voting into an online shopping/video game experience? Fuck if I know. If you can’t get motivated to stop the Ol’ Pussy Grabber, you’re either dead or fucked in the head.

What are you trying to say about “Gilligan’s Island?”

But, I take your meaning. Seriously, given that Franklin once said “A republic, if you can keep it,” in response to a question about the type of government enshrined in the Constitution. And, “If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed,” Thomas Jefferson.

My despair has reached such depths this week that I begin to feel that we deserve the pain and injury that they inflict upon us. After all, we elected the bastards to do just that.

Did we REAlLY ACTUALLY??? there has been enough hanky panky in the elections to warrant an investigation.. in this business ….. and that has not happened… but I digress… water over the bridge…time to move on …etc.

It’s like a sports ball match and someone blaming the refs for the loss. If your team played well enough, you’d win by a large enough margin that the refs wouldn’t make a difference.

I’m not saying that the interference in the election didn’t happen or shouldn’t be investigated. Mueller has been and will continue investigating the election.

Also, how long has the Congress been in Repube hands? Or the Senate so evenly divided that until you go nuclear you can’t get anything done?

How many state governments are completely controlled by Repubes allowing them to gerrymander their way to a permanent majority?

As a democracy, we are responsible collectively for who gets elected regardless of how you vote. It’s the government for the people, by the people. If our government is screwing its constituents, see Louisiana and Kansas as two glaringly obvious examples. How long have they been Repube? The people of those states repeatedly elect them. It’s madness. So, if you keep doing the same things over and over again, you obviously want the outcome you’re getting, right?

And, now we have an expert gaslighter giving us the old narcissistic personality abuse and people are lapping it up. 46% of the people polled believe the media are making up stories about the Ol’ Pussy Grabber!

I’m really in the depths of despair. I thought the American people would come to some kind of epiphany-like realization and elect Clinton in a landslide. But, we are still willing to drink the kool-aide of easy simplistic rhetoric.
