What explains the conservative white voters' willingness to give up on democracy? It's too much of a risk!

“Elite of the left behind” or Democracy is Too Much of a Risk, Give Us White Minority-Rule Autocracy Instead

Reading time: 5 minutes
Sociologist, Arlie Hochschild, describes MAGA Nation and the Insurrectionists as the elite of the left behind. I describe them as seeing democracy as too much of a risk that a Black or Brown will be elevated, minority-rule autocracy is a sure thing.
