Are we about to do it again? Are idealistic youth voters about to hand Trump a victory?

Hey Voters! Remember Pre- and Post-Dobbs America? Want More of That?

Reading time: 4 minutes

Are young voters about to pull a 2016 on us and let Trump go all Grover Cleveland on us? Didn’t we learn ANYTHING from 2016? Don’t we know what the stakes are by now? Recent polling says maybe not.

Are Political Lies Protected Speech?

Is Knowingly Lying for Political Gain Protected Speech? Or a Solution for Bridging our Partisan Divide

Reading time: 6 minutes
There is much talk about bridging our political divide with lots of talk about reaching for white voters being regurgitated. The real problem is the social support that the lies of Trump and the GOP have. To break that social support, we have to consider banning knowingly telling lies for political gain. Those lies are destroying the country.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

MEME: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Reading time: 1 minute
Can we all agree on two things:
(1) All real live Americans are guaranteed Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; and
(2) Getting, but especially dying of, the covfefevirus would deprive us of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; and
(3) No one has a greater right to Life Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness than anyone else. We are all equal in that way.
So, wearing a mask helps us preserve the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights, n’est-ce pas?

The Great Civics Lesson: Yo! Yo! Yo! Voting Matters, Yo! — Updated

Reading time: 8 minutes
This is an update of a post written shortly after the election in 2016. It is still applicable now, and it is pretty darn good. In short, ain’t nothing matter if we don’t get out the vote, bitches! All your memes, snarky social media posts, protests, phone calls none of it will matter if you don’t vote in November.

So let’s “as a people rise up” and speak with one voice and vote the Repubes out!

Mueller Testimony: Intelligence Committee

Things perked up slightly in the Intelligence Committee than they were in the Judiciary. Go figure. Maybe everyone’s coffee had kicked in. You may not agree with my characterization, but I stand by my post. The only remaining question is whether the Dems are adept enough to build on the foundation that they laid or whether the foundation they laid is sufficient to build upon.

Election 2020: Live-Blogging the Live-Streaming of the Dem Presidential Debate, Day 1

It’s another American presidential election, which started more than 18 months before the actual election! American politics are crazy. But, the Dems are debating tonight and we all wanna know who won, who zung, who clung, who hung. I’ll be live-blogging the debate as it is live-streamed in Paris at 3:00 AM. Join me here for a snarky, sarcasticky, profaney good time as we all watch together!

Meme: The Supreme Court

Didn’t vote for Clinton, so you pissed away Obama’s last Supreme Court nomination. Now the Pussy Grabber could be looking at one or even two more nominations sealing a conservative majority on the Court for a generation. We could lose every gain we’ve made during the past 60 years. Didn’t vote for Clinton. Are you happy now?

Unbelievable, Katy Tur, Trump, the Ol' Pussy Grabber, Election 2016, Charles Krauthammer,

Katy Commits the Ultimate Sin, Stands up to the Ol’ Pussy Grabber, Chapters 1 – 3 of “Unbelievable” Reviewed

I’m reviewing Katy Tur’s “Unbelievable” in three parts! It’s that good! Fantastic treatment of the campaign, covering a campaign, being a reporter, and being a human being caught up in the Ol’ Pussy Grabber’s gaslighting narcissistic abuse meat grinder. Katy comes out on the other side stronger and better for it… and you will, too.

Are You Happy Now?

Predictions, Pundits, and the 2016 Election: The “Are You Happy Now?” Edition

How you viewed the condition of the country probably determined your vote. If you saw the country as doing OKAY, you probably saw the Ol’ Pussy Grabber as too big of a risk. But if you saw the country has going in the wrong direction, you were tempted to take a chance on the Ol’ Pussy Grabber. What does behavioral economics, loss aversion, and risk seeking tell us about 2018?
